No, but not because of the age - I just don't like Christmas pud.

Years ago they keep tiers of wedding cakes in tins for the next big occasion - Christenings etc, similar ingredients, keeps very well.
I can see and I can smell, so no I don't bother with them but I know some people without a brain who follow them to the letter and throw food out as soon as it's only one day past the use by date. It's one of the biggest causes of food waste.
It is all dependant on what the food happens to be, obviously it makes sense to throw away stale and mouldy old bread, while hanging on to mouldy old cheese.

//Who cares about use by dates //

I'm not actually asking a question

Laden with sugar and brandy.....steamed for five hours.....add double cream....you'd eat your socks if cooked like that never mind an ancient pudding.
To answer your title question, yes I do fancy a slice - nothing beats a really mature Christmas Pud.

Sounds like one to me, even if you did not include a question mark.
