I've had six months of inaccurate bills from Npower, which they are still apparently attempting to work out.

What is the inaccuracies on your bill ?
I don't know because they changed the meter and lost the record of previous reading. Which I have given them three times now. Meanwhile, my direct debit has doubled, but I don't know where that calculation came from!
Its been going on for far longer than the period given...

Back in 2011 they gave me a bill for £690 when it should have been around £100...took 9 months of calls and letters to a totally useless CS and various people up the chain of non-command and finally a letter from my solicitor threating legal action until they then agreed the error and backed down...they then wiped the bill completely as they had no idea as to what it should have been...complete bunch of C%&£s...fact !
Its a wonder they have got any customers left. All my final bills were baffling. sure my final bill was incorrect after months of procrastination. Left them in disgust hoping that any loss to me was small.
I left npower after I was sent an enormous bill.
It turned out that they hadn't read my meter properly for nearly a year and had ignored my meter readings, estimating bills over and over.
When I phoned them, on several occasions about this bill, I had patronizing women telling me that I had to stay at that address and give them daily meter readings for a week. Telling them that I couldn't do this due to health reasons, they kept trying to insist.
I asked them, if they would like to come and read my meter daily for a week, but they declined. They just kept on repeating, "We're just going round in circles, Mrs. ******". I ended up telling the woman that I was sick of the sound of her voice, put the phone down and immediately found another company to pay extortionate amounts of money to for my fuel.
