May be Vietnam Sandy. Err..... Russian advisors I think they call them. Not sure. Just a guess.

Are we talking a Russian piloted jet or a Russian made jet? The Israelis downed a few Migs in their wars with Egypt et al.
First jet downed BY A NATO COUNTRY. They have lost aircraft before.

That's probably it. There was nothing going on in Europe at that time.
They lost 118 aircraft in Afghanistan, including 25, Su-25 (similar to yesterday's aircraft).

I heard the same clip and thought - sloppy statement. They also confused Turk, Turkish, Turkmen, Turkish men and Turkic
insisting that Turkmen spoke Turkish ( they speak Turkmen )
