I've just found two unopened packets of macadamia nuts. I'm not a big fan of them and am wondering what to do with them. All I have come up with so far is a posh chocolate fridge cake that I could give to friends for Christmas.

Any other ideas?

What -you just 'found them' in your cupboard? If you are not a big fan why did you buy them? -they are very expensive - I would follow one of nigellas recipes for spiced nuts and either serve them with drinks at christmas or give them as gifts -they are too nice to cook with and I don't think they go with chocolate really.

Well one pack got slung in some mincemeat and the other packet will become praline for garnishing Christmas desserts.

Retro, I can only assume they are left over from a job.
Eccles -a nut job? lol!
We get a Christmas hamper from work and I occasionally find unusual stuff in the cupboards, as OH is often keen to unload it and pack it away before I've had a proper look at the goodies therein.
