Well unfortunately I was tired and went to bed re nine and am up again for an hour or so - if any kind soul wants to correspond with me that would be nice.

All you pet owners - you know, well I didn't know Maxie was in a bad way when I got him and tonight after brushing him and seeing the coat come up all white and fluffy I nearly want to put him into Crufts LOL He is doing well - justs eats what suits him - somedays more others less.

I had 3 small lamb chops tonight for myself and gave them to him they would be only ones I would give him safely. Boy he enjoyed and I kept him in the living room to watch him and his oul teeth needed a good biting.

Through this weather coming would any of you recommend a wee vitamin for him (never done it for Harvey) but this is a different breed. Do you believe vitamins for dogs - I sometimes take them for myself. Any advice would be great. Ta

Any healthy human or dog, who is eating a balanced diet, shouldn't need vitamin supplements.

We humans tend to eat a lot of things that definitely don't make up a 'balanced diet', so some humans might benefit from vitamin supplements.

However we generally ensure that our pets get decent diets, so they're unlikely to benefit from vitamin supplements.

Remember that an excess of some vitamins can be harmful so, if you do decide to give Maxie supplements (which I doubt that he really needs anyway), only give him those specifically intended for dogs (as the human dosage could be harmful to him).

Oh Thanks for that Buenchico- just wondererd as he he is coming on so well and could have lost him for good tonight re my broken gate - there I was coming up towards the broken gate and his wee white face was just looking out. As I said Harvey would have been away all night and day and I would have been lucky if he came back. So at the stage of my life and age? I was getting I was not fit for Harvey wanting to run away so much but this wee thing is more contented and happy in the house. At the mo lying on my bed with Foxy (his toy) and his blankie. I know I treat him like a baby but he is my baby. Apart from wee pees here and there - can't seem to get that better. My mats in the dining room and kitchen are shaggy like grass so he treats it like grass.

I bought stuff at Pets at Home but he didn't work. So I will just live with and thank god the mats go into the washing machine as the drum is vast every two weeks. When the mats were being washed he never went once.

I'd love every time he pees a crab jumps and frightens him LOL
JJ have you got him a nice warm coat for this cold weather? My little chap was very pleased to have his on the last few days.
