Little tip, if you keep your head in them while ironing, they hold their shape longer.
Wrong tip there^^^. What he meant to say is never answer the phone while ironing.

(An old 'un but still raises a chuckle, I hope).
I think some of you are steering away from the real subject of this Post.
Head scarves are not mentioned in the title.
We are discussing Burquas. Those upside down bin liners with slits for eyes and mouth and a little owl like beak protuberance.
That attire that would terrorise children of this country. In fact the type of wear that a cowardly scum/thug terrorist would wear. Those cowardly IRA with their balaclavas firing volleys over their dead terrorist mate graves as if they were honourable brave men. The cowardly Daesh who wear balaclavas when they pose before decapitating a hand cuffed captive. Those hideous women who walk about wishing to associate themseves by wearing similar sinister and unecessary garb in the UK.
My mother wore a headscarf in the last war whilst the men were off fighting facism. She and other women worked in war production factory work and needed head scarves to keep their hair out of the lathes they operated.
The same facism who would dictate that women must wear Burkas and head scarves. The women wore headscarves for protection and austere clothing allowances gave some no other choice.
You could look my mother in the face and recognise her English rose features in those days.
I do not trust any one in this country who deliberately attempts to disguise their identity and that includes the feral, spitting hooded thugs who hang around on street corners innit.
If we had issues with head scarves there would be no Mother Teresas or Nuns on Midwives. They are not disguising themselves in the name of religion and moslem women are not required to wear Burqas either in the name of religion.
They should be banned. An old fool tried to brew home made wine in Saudi and was going to be lashed for his efforts. Cruel but that is their law and we all no it.We should be entitled to say in this country that our law requires all to deport themselves so they may be identifiable.
Obviously as Winter approaches and we get a wind chill then common sense should prevail.
The only person I will have dialogue with and comply with their demands are those who wear a ski mask, carry a gun and have Police written on their body armour or a Military identity/Blood Tag. The rest I will treat with contempt and distrust.
Retrochic,
I had a Triumph Roadster back in 67. It was a 1949 model. Cost a fortune . £65. Had a fly screen for the dicky seat as well. Just goes to show with hard work and endeavour a 17 yr old can afford a 2nd hand luxury of a tatty iconic classic car. Dad had to help on birthdays(partly) with the Insurance and RFL . No sense of entitlement then.
Dunno about terrorising little children....they scare me too.
retrocop -we have a 1947 roadster been in the family since my father bought it back in the 70's and renovated it himself as a retirement project.
