I say no, in fact the House of Commons is no place for babies.

No jokes please.

Sometimes my boss brings his little daughter into the office and I get nothing done when she's there.

She is cute though :-)
I can see four Labour women MPs in that report who are supporting this suggestion. I don't believe they speak for all women MPs.
no not in the chamber. ,ll
No
perhaps to expand on that, when you re breast feeding you are in sole charge of that infant. How you can do that and work at the same time (which is what being on hte chamber implies) is beyond me. You could easily pump (with an electric pump) at the same time as working though
/Is breast feeding by employers allowed in any other place of work?/

My employers never breast fed anybody, least of all me.
It's a silly idea.
there's a nursery they could use - it's not as if there are ever many MPs, male or female, in the chamber itself. (Obviously, even the mere existence of the nursery has caused outrage.)
An idea only for the right-on wimin.
Don't see why not. Its not as if there are going to be 100's of infants, all suckling away is it ?

Perhaps the presence of a suckling infant might make everybody else behave better ?
mikey - //Don't see why not. Its not as if there are going to be 100's of infants, all suckling away is it ? //

I refer to my earlier response - it's not as if babies lie quietly between feeds is it? They cry when they are bored, or fancy being picked up, they need to be changed frequently - imagine the MP's when the waft of stewed prune breakfast residue drifts over the chamber?

No - for all sorts of practical reasons, it is unfair on the baby to be stuck in a stuffy room all day listening to people droning on, and it is unfair to the baby's mother to expect her to work without distraction when here baby wants her attention.

A baby young enough to be breastfed is a baby too young to be taken to work - and that applies more or less anywhere.

I know some would like it

Apologies for humour AOG

why not considering how full it is of ***
There is a House of Commons creche, I believe, and that should be fine for feeding - as long as it is understood that your vote can be registered when you are otherwise engaged.
