Have long time puzzled on a small metal badge with initials B.D.A.C on scroll underneath a rearing winged horse. Something to do with flying maybe? Has any one any ideas?

Bedford & District Aeromodelling Club

But I can't find a picture of their badge/emblem.

If you can supply a picture of the badge it might help in tracing it...

Thanks Wolf63 but I don't think one can post pictures here, so I will out of curiosity have to investigate the Bedford D A C myself.

The griffin looks a bit like a horse with wings

But whichever one benefits. I don't mind if it's helpful.

The owner of this badge was with BOAC in the 1950s I think but the badge is definitely BDAC. Tried the Tinypics link but got a Malware warning
Does the winged horse look similar to the griffin on the BOAC badge I included? Maybe the typesetter slipped up a bit on the badge
How old is the badge?
Question Author
Don't know the age of the badge. My b in law was born in 1922 so could be any time from then on. It is not like the gryphon, it is a winged horse rearing up on its hind legs and the letters are very clearly B D A C
Question Author
My spelling of griffon was a bit odd I am afraid, had to check it out and amend
Question Author
Not really the horse faces the other way , similar pose that is all.
