Ken's cashmere style jumper was ridiculed by Tracy, said it was too young for him, what are 80 year olds supposed to wear! I think he looks smart and trendy!

It was fine. Can't believe how Ken puts up with Tracy's (and her daughter's) unbelievably rude behaviour. Isn't it time she moved out into her own place? ( i know it's not real) :)

I liked it.
Nice jumper . It was only Tracey with her usual trouble making nasty comments and her daughter is just the same .
I think the jumper was a pretty colour.

Besides, people in Coronation Street have worn worse things quite a few things. :P
Quite a few times, I mean.

The 'trapped' element of soaps is what makes them work - and of course it directly opposite to standard 'real life' behaviour.

If you found yourself living in the claustrophobic atmosphere of a soap life - everyone manacled together and living within a few seconds walk of each other, and being terminally horrible and causing trouble as though it is a profession - then you'd do the sensible thing and move away!

But soaps are about interaction and conflict, and you can't have that if people are too separate - they have to be hot-housed so they can get upset and tearful and shouty and miserable and paranoid and vicious and all the other unpleasant human traits that soap audiences seem to love to see displayed.

So to cut a long story short - yes it is time Tracey moved out / was kicked out - but therein ends the tense set-up that provides the conflict, so you can be sure she won't be going anywhere anytime soon!
I think maybe she meant the colour was too young for him ! I kept thinking 'tell her to move out Ken' !! In real life of course that bloke of hers wouldn't want to live in a cramped place like that, he'd have his own place that I'm sure they could move into !

andy's right.
Andy - well put and thanks for pointing that out. How glad that I don't live in 'soapland' but in the real world!
