How To Get Rid Of Cats?

I have cleared my flower tubs of dead plants ready for next year, but they are now being used as litter trays by local cats. How can I stop this? If I could I would shoot them.

Just be careful with fence toppers such as carpet grip, they not only can cause injury to the cats, squirrels, birds etc, they are also illegal under the Highways act if put on a fence less than 2.4m (7ft 10") high:

I don't have the problem with cats pooping on my garden anymore, I have a few strong pepper sprays from China.
