I Have Made An Appointment At Doctors But Would Welcome Any Thoughts

I am in my late 40's have the Mariena coil fitted, over due to be changed have had regular periods up until e last 6mths . I have had three in a month and now bleeding every day which is pain, is it the menopse or the coil? That could be causing it? Thanks

Difficult question.
Because you have a Mirena coil inserted it does, in no way, "immunise" you from other intrauterine causes of heavy painful periods...e.g Polyps or fibroids.
It is unusual for the Mirena coil to produce heavy painful periods.

I cannot answer your question, but when the coil is removed, a pelvic investigation will certainly give you the answer.
I'm no expert on these female issues .

But , wouldn't the menopause , have the opposite effect ?

Thanks was just wondering if it was hormone related that's was causing the periods to be here most of the time? I can't get appoint till late November for it to be changed, do you think I should see GP
Yes, it could be hormonal and yes, I would see your GP to expedite your appointment.
