Good Morning all :)

A hopefully easy to answer question...

A man and a woman get married, she leaves him three months later... then two years later whilst still married, has a baby with another man.

Who pays for the divorce?

Many thanks in advance

Whoever starts the divorce petition pays. As long as both agree to the divorce they can just get the divorce forms and fill them in themselves without a lawyer. But one or other of them has to start the process and pay the court fee.

She does. Mostly because she needs the divorce most, but also because she left him after just 3 months.
no rules that I know of. Who wants it most?

If you are on a low income you can even get the court fees paid for you!

Thank you everyone xxx
Just a final point, all divorce is on a 'No fault' basis now.
There is now only one reason for divorce that ''The relationship has irretrievably broken down'' No blame can be attributed to either side in any circumstances.
Unsure why they need a divorce.
That said I'm unsure why they felt a need to marry in the first place.
(Maybe it is to help future generations checking their family tree ?)
who ever wants it

blame in divorce went out in the 1967 reforms when it all turned on irretrievable breakdown of marriage
PP ^^ That's what I said at 09.52 this morning.
