S. Worcs. - very heavy rain. Flash floods on roads when went to doc. this a.m. My 4 water-butts overflowing. Fallen leaves don't help road drainage - some grids clogged up with same. Wind only moderate.

Steady light rain here at the moment and a bit breezy, gather we have worse to come.
dry and freeeezing here very still..fog lifting
Incessant light rain here
I'm surprised that no one has blamed the weather on immigration yet, lol.

Back swiftly on topic. Well we had a late summer so now we're getting a late Autumn which will then either morph into winter or winter will land when it's meant to be spring or like the previous years if mmsmc we'll skip winter completely bar a month of cold and get straight into spring.

I hate the fact that we don't get proper seasons here anymore and on my travels often meet many from other European and other countries and continents and everyone seems to get the proper installments of seasons except us and maybe those on the same timeline as us.

I'd love to have a white snowy Christmas but like everyone hates when it turns to ice and then slush making walking, driving and travelling an absolute nightmare so maybe the fact that we don't recieve large snowfall might be a blessing in disguise and as the summer which we have to a small degree which prompts me to tell people that if they want a "Summer" they have to pay and fly out to it, maybe the same is true with winter as in if you want an authentic white Christmas you have to pay and fly out to it unfortunately but it has it's merits like getting a take away and not having to do the dishes. Fly to get some snow and not have to contend with the aftermath of it in the UK.
Tamworth, rained in various degrees all day. Some flooding in dips in the road. Cold!
I think it's been and gone here. Now calm with misty drizzle.
Today, just rain showers and sunshine BUT on Saturday night, here on the Sussex coast, we bared the brunt of Storm Angus, which was scary and powerful, especially when it's 2:00am and, having just finished a gig in Eastbourne, I had to drive home in it.....the winds were terrible, potentially destructive and the torrential rain didn't help at all....waves off the coast of Brighton were massive and gusts recorded 106mph at times....generally 70-80mph winds all night.
Glad when I got in, as was the wife.

Slept from 5:30am, when storm died down a lot till 12:45pm due to winds and rain keeping me up.....Mrs Bear snoring her head off... hrrmmphh :-(

The worst of the wet weather seems to be over here as well now, after hours of high winds and downpours. Looks better for the rest of the week though.
Glad it's died down in your area, mikey....stay safe, if going out.

Rest of week looks good here too. :-)

Remember being in Wales on a short break....stayed near Pwllheli, North Wales and it poured down for 2 days straight.....lovely place and views around Snowdonia and remember a great little place called Beddgelert, which has a brilliant and touching story attached......Beddgelert was a dog, who protected it's young owners life.
It is blowing a gale and hissing down now. Been awful all day and is now worse. I haven't been through the door and even the dog has more sense than to venture out. I have just had to kick her out for the necessary and she is not friends with me for a while. Drop "o" Scotch is in order. (for me not the dog)

Yogi....here is Gelert :::::

http://www.beddgelerttourism.com/gelert/
"In the 13th century Llewelyn, prince of North Wales, had a palace at Beddgelert. One day he went hunting without Gelert, ‘The Faithful Hound’, who was unaccountably absent.
On Llewelyn's return the truant, stained and smeared with blood, joyfully sprang to meet his master. The prince alarmed hastened to find his son, and saw the infant's cot empty, the bedclothes and floor covered with blood.
The frantic father plunged his sword into the hound's side, thinking it had killed his heir. The dog's dying yell was answered by a child's cry.
Llewelyn searched and discovered his boy unharmed, but nearby lay the body of a mighty wolf which Gelert had slain. The prince filled with remorse is said never to have smiled again. He buried Gelert here".
Here's the story, for those interested.... he's buried there too.
