Weather in Spain in October

Can anyone tell me the Best places to go to in Spain in Early October, Im planning on going at this time as this is the only time me and my boyfriend are able to go.

We want to go to a part of Spain which will still be good sunny weather, i know its more then likely it wont be really hot in October but I need some ideas on what parts are best for the time of year.

October can be quite wet in Spain. For example, London averages 57mm of rain throughout the month but Barcelona averages 86mm.

Here are the details for Alicante (Costa Blanca area):

The Costa del Sol on the Spanish mainland will be warmer than Alicante but it could rain in October. If you really want the sun, then head for one of the Canary Islands (Tenerife is fantastic with the backdrop of the Volcano Teide dominating views - and the Canary Islands are still Spanish territory!
