Going over bumps in the road

When you go over a bump or hill on the road in the car and your stomach goes funny.. someone told me this is your stomach floating in your body?! Surely this is nonsense? What is it that actually makes that weird feeling?

No, it's true. If you go too fast over a hump back bridge, you are almost in freefall for half a second.

The odd feeling really is your internal organs 'floating'. A similar feeling to sudden drops on a fairground ride.
Or on a plane when its in quick descent or going through turbulance.
Why is it only your stomach that feels like that? If that was the case, all your internal organs would be floating and you would feel it everywhere, not just in the stomach.
I have to add that I get odd feelings in my EXternal organs when this happens.
My hair has been know to stick out in the Skyline : )
