Don't know if this is correct section
Just been to Albufeira and was surprised to see a street named after Dunfermline. It is definitely the Scottish town as the sign confirms it but nobody could tell me how or why it got it's name. Any extremely erudite person out there who can tell me or at least recommend a website that might help?

Dunfermline and Albufeira were 'twinned' in1995.

Thanks Harry-Wragg. I thought it might be that but as I say nobody that I spoke to in Albufeira seemed to be aware of that fact.
