Should add, only got hand luggage, so no need to wait for baggage. Next coach is at 05.20.

Doubtful, not so much getting through customs it's the waiting for your luggage! My mum-in-law came into stansted back from cornwall and waited 30 mins just for luggage to come through, and thats a UK arrival ....

Had to do a similar thing in Finland last time, had only a fifteen minute window to get across town to airport from railway, and did it in plenty of time thanks to efficient Finnish transport system. Where do we go wrong? lol

Just out of interest, do you all come on to the travel section for something to do, its just that I only come on here when I need help(!) but I do spend a lot of time on animals and nature because thats my 'thing' - is travel your 'thing'?

are you going for holiday soon, lankeela? which kind of coach tickect you have got, is it nationa express one? if there is time addressed on your tickect, you wont be able to use it for next one, but if not specific time, means open ticket, you will be fine. the coach drivers are normaly very nice, if you missed it, and ask them if you can be on aboard, they normally let you get on.
i normally come to ask for help on the section or see if anyone take trip to china, i may cen help:)

Thanks Mirela, the booking site for the ticket asked if I wanted standard return or economy, so will book standard, and hope that at that time of the morning the coach will be empty.

I have always got good advice when I have asked on here, and try to give it on animals and nature, I suppose we all have our areas of expertise (except Grav, lol).

yeah, i think standard return means open return normally, normally valid for a month the return ticket and you can take any route back home. if the economic one requires you to book specific time for the return trip, better not then. your times does seem abit too tight.
i landed once at midnight in doncaster, there were long ques to go through from cutoms.
grav has the experitsing skill at annoying people! lol i do wish tape his month up sometimes...

Where's Chris? Here, of course.

I've not flown from Tampere but Ryanair's schedules tend to allow rather longer for flights than they actually take. (That's how they achieve such good punctuality figures. If they 'add a bit on' to the real journey time, a 'normal' flight appears to arrive early whereas one which has actually been slightly delayed still appears to arrive on time).

Most of the Ryanair flights I've taken into Stansted (which is my nearest major airport) have landed between 15 minutes and 35 minutes ahead of schedule. I only travel with hand baggage and I reckon on being in the mid-stay car park (which involves waiting a few minutes for a bus and then a further few minutes travelling to the car park) well within half an hour of landing. (Last time I travelled with Ryanair, into Stansted, I was actually driving home on the A120 at the scheduled landing time of the plane!).

So I would think that your chance of catching that coach are extremely good. You've probably even got time for a coffee before you leave.

So glad you have arrived. Looks like I will go for it anyway, and if there's a hold up I'll just have to kip in the airport for a few hours. Hoping it won't be busy at that time.
