detroit... a lovely city??

Whats the song all about. detroits not a lovely city, i have been there it is not very nice. has anyone seen any nice parts of detroit?

it's detroit... i love this city, isn't it?? I've never been.. publicity doesn't give it a good name either.

I lived around half an hour's drive away from Detroit for just over a year, and no, it's not that nice. Ended up accidentally driving through an area of lots of drive-by shootings one night, really wasn't very pleasant. Strange thing was, in the area we lived in, no-one locked their houses or cars, as there was so little crime.

My ex-wife lives there (apparently). I hear the city is a sh*& hole, but I still expect it is nicer than she is.
