paying an euro cheque into a business account

I recieved a cheque today in euro's, can i pay this into my normal barclays business account - if not what can i do with it?

yes you should be able to pay it in OK. I used to work for a bank and we accepted cheques in other currencies at the current exchange rate
They may chrage you for "handling" the cheque and converting it to sterling, even though they don't actually perform any physical function .
Depending on the value of the cheque and your standing as a customer, the Bank will either Negotiate the cheque and give you immediate value after converting it to sterling or Collect the cheque which means that you will have to wait for the cheque to clear which can take many weeks sometimes before you receive the funds.
