Map - South Beds to Bexleyheath........

19:28 on Tue 14/Feb/06

We are travelling from South Beds to Bexleyheath on Friday & although Mr S is an excellent map reader & writes directions down methodically - I'd like to look at directions on-line.

Could anyone recommend any free on-line sites that would oblige? Thank you.

Do you know jrtv - I've been on the brilliant Google Earth site so many times, but didn't even give them a thought. Thank you for reminding me!

Recommended route from an HGV driver.

M1 or A1 (according to where you are in Beds)

M25

M11 (Watch out for the speed camera just after the 50mph sign about 2 miles from the end of the M'way. This is the camera with the highest revenue in the UK)

onto A406 (but stay in left lane to come off onto) Redbridge R'about and A12 to Blackwall Tunnel.

becomes A102 and A102(M) through tunnel. This becomes the A2. Turn off at Danson Interchange or the Black Prince for Bexleyheath. This will save you paying the Dartford toll as well.

Have a nice trip!

Bless you for typing that sddsddean, I shall print it out.

Also, thanks for the speed camera tips too - the damn things are everywhere!

I wish the journey was for a happy occasion, but it's for my sister's funeral service! Thanks again.

Sorry to hear that smudge. Hope you don't mind if I stick my oar in again. If your sister is being buried/cremated at Eltham Cemetary, Riefield Road please note you can only access this from the A2 London (west) bound, though I suspect you will meet at the house or something. If the service is in Bexleyheath, please ignore this. My condolences.

Morning sddsddean - thank you for your kind words.

My sister had a massive heart attack in Spain & was cremated there two days later.

The service is being held at 'Christchurch', The Broadway, Bexleyheath. The interment of ashes will be at Bexleyheath Cemetery. The reception is at The Golden Lion, a short walk from the Cemetery.

Thought I'd share that with you & thanks again.
