There is no single 'Best deal' it varies with your individual circumstances.
I pay around twenty quid per year for an annual multi-trip Europe-wide policy with Holidaysafe. (I'm 64 years old):

I started my search for travel insurance here:

(Hint: Don't bother reading all of it. Simply scroll down to 'Best Buys')

If, as you say, you have travelled, presumably you have taken out travel insurance before. If so, then why not start with the last Company you held a policy with. If not, then if you have any financial connection with a company that offers travel cover, approach them.
I have always found www.insureandgo.com to be the most competitively priced anywhere. I have found their prices to be really good when it comes to getting a policy with a low or no exceeds to pay.
Bc that's pretty good.
I thought I was doing okay with the Post Office at about £50.00 annual (reduces by 10% every year), but will definitely be moving my business come December.
I've started using Ok To Travel. I have pre-existing conditions and have been getting good price from them.
Use one of the price comparison sites like confused.com. You can put in your details and filter the results according to how much excess you want etc.

Why do you keep switching names? Just curious...

I'd go to a price comparison site as well.

We get free travel insurance with Nationwide. Not sure if it would be the same for your age group though.

These people appear to offer travel insurance for the over 80's and up to 45 days cover on a single trip. Maybe ask for a quote?

I know this, Jordy, but you asked a Q in one name and answer in another.
ummmm . . . . probably a pen name, then?
Don't think Ok To Travel have an age limit.
