I'm pleased the Queen has come to Manchester today. I think it will bring a little cheer to the survivors of the blast.

I think her presence will have been appreciated.

Just seen her on Sky News, talking to Children and Parents on the wards, thought she was well informed and genuinely interested, good for her.
As ever HM The Queen does us proud.
Good on our Queen, I'm sure she brought a few smiles of appreciation.
Good for her, and not lets forget Philip!
Her visit will have done a lot of good, I think.
I didn't know the Duke was there, well done to him too.
I don't think the Duke was there. Her visit was unannounced but a crowd quickly developed outside and she was clapped and cheered as she came out of the hospital

I didn't think she would let him come in case he drops one of his jokes that isn't always appreciated. :-)
How lovely of her to come.
i think it will bring a big cheer from our Mancunian brothers and sisters.
Perhaps she can have a word in Mays shell like later and tell her to pull her finger out.

Good on the Queen though, not a fan of the Royals but the Queen does earn her keep.
On occasions like this, I have to admit that she is invaluable.
Echo all that.
Just a point.
When the Queen came to the bedside and spoke to the patient, the parent/parents just sat in the chair beside the bed and even when spoken to by the Queen, still remained seated.
I felt that this was bad mannered and disrespectful, in that they could have at least, got to their feet.
Not sure if it would have much difference Sqad.
They were probably awestruck Sqad, I would be. Just watched her on Sky News - I luv her xx
mikey....of course it wouldn't have made any practical difference, but to me good manners always scores highly and indeed does make a difference. After all it was the Queen.

For all we know Sqad, they may have been told to stay seated, and anyway, I am sure they would have had more worrying things on their minds, than protocol!
They may have been briefed before she entered the room.

Relax, no need to stand ...........
