Off from Newhaven to Dieppe. New adventure for me.
Anything I need to know?
Going Worthing to Brighton, Brighton to Newhaven. Which station?
Arriving Dieppe, taking the train to Rouen: station a long walk from ferry landing?
Shouldn't have to book a ticket on the train??
Thanks.

at Newhaven, alight at Newhaven Town and use the shuttle bus to the port - although Newhaven Marine station is legally open, it has no service because the roof is dangerous. At Dieppe the ferry terminal was moved from the town some years ago and is now on the other side of the port. it's about 500m walk from Dieppe Ville. station.

I did that journey in 1962. Ended up in Dieppe at about 2 am. Straight on the train where I promptly fell asleep, arriving at La Gare St Lazare just before 6 am. I was just 13.

Thanks Chris. Helpful as always.
Jackdaw, what were you doing wandering around on your own at 13?
