Help. Iberia And Ba Combining To Drive Me Mad.

Am in Rome. Was supposed to fly back today with BA to Gatwick but they cancelled the flight and put me on two Iberia flights, Rome to Madrid, Madrid to Heathrow.
Got confirmation email from BA, (after two long expensive phone calls) but the link from BA to Iberia to allow me to check in online doesn't work.
Keep getting a message to the effect that they can't deal with me now. (Flight time tomorrow is midday.)
So tell me. Do I have to queue at the Iberia desk in Rome airport, rather than being able to print out a boarding pass beforehand??
(Haven't used Iberia since 1976, with good reason.)

Have you tried this link to check in? https://www.iberia.com/gb/online-checkin/?market=GB&language=en&channel=COM#/ibcose If you can't check in online, you can check in at Terminal 3 of Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) airport, either at the desk or using the automated check-in point.

can't answer you, but this could have gone into CB, let's see if someone responds.

Hi Emmie, what does CB mean?
Chatterbank, where you may have got some more responses, as more people look at that, incl the news section.
have posted a link of sorts into chatterbank, see if anyone can help...

^^^ Have you omitted a link, Emmie?
no, i meant your helpful information for jennykenny.
I'm easily confused, Emmie ;-)
i thought someone could help, she sounds pretty upset.

Thanks everybody. More angry than upset.
Just about to try your link Chris. I was resigned to checking in at the airport, desk or automatic check in.
It never gets any easier.

Was almost there. They (Iberia) spin me and spin me and give me hope and then crash. I think there is a quote somewhere that the worst thing is hope.
They offer me a chance to print out the boarding card and/or have it sent to my iPhone, but nothing ever happens.
Thanks Chris. You were close but defeated by 'them'.

Have you checked your email, JK? (That's how Iberia send boarding passes, rather than directly from their website).
Question Author
Email. Yes, check it hourly. Nothing. Again thanks for trying.

Just in passing, got home yesterday from Rome via Madrid. Had no problem checking in at the Iberia desk in Rome airport, but rather a frantic dash between terminals at Madrid airport to catch the connecting flight to London.
Had the Rome-Madrid flight been even slightly late, or I had children to deal with or been older and less mobile, would never have made it. More than three-quarters of the plane had boarded by the time I arrived, and a real pain trying to get somewhere to store my small wheelie case in the overhead lockers, everything being already full.
Again thanks for everyone's help and advice. Just got to claim back my expenses from BA now (!).
