Hotel For Wembley

Hi i am going to wembley stadium in June and would like to stay the night nearby. Is there a tube that stops nearby? and recommendations for hotels? I need cheapish, as the tickets are already costing an arm and a leg. Or would driving be better? Is there any car parking at wembley?

Avoid driving anywhere near Wembley Stadium! The roads are horribly congested and there's hardly any parking in the area.

The stadium is within walking distance of these stations:
1. Wembley Park (Jubilee & Metropolitan Lines)
2. Wembley Stadium (National Rail services, operated by Chiltern Railways from Marylebone)
3. Wembley Central (Bakerloo Line, London Overground, London Midland services from Euston and Southern services).

The tube is right outside as it British Rail at the other end of the complex. There is a row of nice modern hotel blocks along the road parallel and another right next to the tube station. I've used the cafe in the other one and can highly recommend what I've seen of it.

Maybe look at the London tube map and find a station a couple of stops from Wembley and stay in a hotel there.

There will be a crush for trains right after the event but leave it 30 minutes and then you can get a train to your hotel.

A quick search shows that most hotels in the area are fully booked on that date, with £199 being the cheapest on offer, several hotels asking for £340 and some seeking £430. So it seems obvious that you'll need to stay elsewhere.

I should have asked you how many people are going to the event. (You put 'I' in your first sentence but then referred to 'tickets', so it's not clear whether you'll be alone or with one or more companions). So I don't know whether to look for a single room, twin, double or whatever. However here are a few suggestions anyway:

Tony's House Hotel in Paddington (from where you can walk to Marylebone Station reasonably easily) has a single room with shared bathroom available for £45.00 or an en suite double for £109.00.

The Metro Hotel (also in Paddington) has no single rooms but a twin room with shared bathroom for £87.56, a double room with shared bathroom for £86.70 and a double en suite room for £99.00.

Watford Junction is easily accessed from Wembley Central Station. The Holiday Inn there is currently offered at £99.00 for a twin-bedded room on 24 June if you go via Booking.com

The Best Western White House Hotel in Watford (only half a mile from Watford Junction) is priced at just £79.00 for either a twin or double room on that date (again, only if you go via Booking.com)

Also nearby there's Jury's Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hilton in the same price range. The Southern Cross pub (5 minutes walk from Watford Junction) has singles at £42.00.

further - I can endorse the White House Hotel, having stayed there several times. there's secure parking, and the hotel is equi-distant from Watford Junction, and the watford metropolitan line station (which is at cassiobury park). either route would be OK but personally I'd go metropolitan line because there are more trains, and the new "S" stock was designed with clearing large crowds in mind.
