How can the migrants coming into Turkey be stopped from traveling if the Turks themselves are able to travel without passports?

They still need a passport to enter the Schengen area, just no visa.

Oh OK thanks.

I thought when they went on about passport free they didn't need one.

I suppose all the migrants that were able to pay a handsome fee to get to Turkey will be able to afford a passport as well??

But would they qualify for one and how long would it take. (I'm assuming you aren't talking about fake passports.) One has a short saving grace period to get out of the EU before they get a legitimate passport, and Schengen membership becomes compulsory.
