chanting tonight, as they broadcast live from the studios, as there's a match on.

A friend of mine from Manchester told me that they hadn't thought about it at the time, when they decided to go live, could be fun.

all adds to the realism i suppose
Unlikely, as corrie moved from their former home at Granada Studios in Manchester city centre to the £10 million 7.7 acre purpose-built site in Trafford late 2013.

They have been there two years now and have often been filming well into the evening.

A spokesman said “On some occasions there have been matches going on at the same but the noise sound has never, ever been a issue before.”
The draw for the 2nd round of the cup was made on 13 August. Surely the decision to go live was taken well before that date, so this match would not have even been a consideration. And, as Ivor says, it would lend a tad more realism to the episode were the roar of the crowd be heard in the background.
I haven't bothered to check but I am sure that on Wednesdays Corrie finishes at 2000 when the match is due to start.
Corrie tonight is 7:30 to 8:30, Jack.
Is it done at exactly the same time it is shown or has it already been recorded live in one take?
If it is truly live I wonder how they plan for the weather- it may go very dark- unless it's all done indoors or under floodlights
It's transmitted "live"...not "recorded as live".
Most of the action is in soundproof studios!
Thanks. So I wonder if Steve- who is taking / has taken a break from the show- will be absent from Lloyd's party?
Oh good point, FF. On twitter people are saying Steve will appear. We'll see later!
Now they've moved from the city centre, are they not even closer to Old Trafford?
In my experience the sound in most stadiums now is largely contained within. It's very quiet even 100m away
The new studios are 1 mile from MUfC's ground.
What did you think of the live episode?
Same as the pre-recorded....rubbish script!
Totally agree!
Thought the acting was good but the plot boring.
Did anyone notice any mistakes?
I don't know about mistakes but are the drains in Manchester really that big?
I'm gonna miss Callum, he really livened it up!
