The Foreign Secretary states that a further attack is highly likely.
Is this the end of tourism, at least for the foreseeable future?

^ tourism there

I would have been long gone by now!

& yes, probably!
Yes. I wouldn't be surprised if Morocco goes the same way

I think that people will be very circumspect as to their destinations now.

I hope they get a refund but I remember taking my two 30+ sons to Turkey about 3yrs ago with their family. I cringed when they wanted to venture out the complex for a Turkish shave.I quite admire and like the Turks but I would not put any of my family at risk for the foreseeable future in a Muslim country no matter how westernried and moderate they are. Shame I like Effes beer as well but we can get it here. :-)
I thought all the "police" sent over to secure and investigate the Sousse crime scene were in fact spooks eager to get their hot spooky little hands on home grown tunisian intelligence

and they have scored 0/10 - it does ruin tunisian tourism tho'

now IF GCHQ for example ( computer capabliity - able to listen to ALL the mobile phone calls in Iraq at any one time ) has picked up ( a hypothetical ) phone call: " our friends are looking for abdul hameed -time for him to come home " then it would be grounds for pulling the plug

// I cringed when they wanted to venture out the complex for a Turkish shave //

a cut too far perhaps .... Turkey wasnt that rough three yeasr ago, was it ? shades of midnight express - oo-er ! and the Grey Wolves - all that has gone hasnt it ?

Turks arent arabs by the way they are um Turkic I think

I know what you are saying. I have been to Tunisia (20 yrs ago and I still say never again). I love Kyrenia and Bellapais etc.I like the Turks and trust them to a degree.I think Al queda were getting handy with knives on wounded soldiers in Afghanistan at the time and just felt uneasy that my sons were trusting a muslim with a cut throat razor at the time. It wasn't as though we locked ourselves in the complex and dared not venture out but I thought Turkey then and now is the bridging point between the good guys and the bad guys and I didn't feel comfortable with my sons offering up their necks to a cut throat. :-)

I would rather be manipulated and pampered by female from the opposite gender. My old Wilkinson sword safety razor 1966 vintage will suffice on my sojourns and a K bar in the boonies is great if well honed. :-)

I believe the UK Bikini Code is highly likely of an attack.Seems like tourism hasn't suffered in London except for the £50,000 p.a. terrorists who drive underground trains and are not content with a Kings ransom when asked to do a bit of night duty.
//Is this the end of tourism,......?//

nearly a quarter of the world's population is muslim. why should kicking the hedonist westerners out mean the end of tourism?
Tunisia depends on the west for its tourist industry.
I think end of tourism from here to there, rather than end of tourism to there completely.

These things come & go. Deemed risky now; but for how long before it settles down again ad become low risk ?
cant get my head around anyone who goes to an islamic country for a holiday.

stupid .
would you have avoided catholic or protestant countries during the Irish 'troubles' in the 1970's (if you had been alive of course) ?
