I am going on holiday next week to Austria by car. I will have two mountain bikes on the back. I wanted to stop over in Munich for two days but cannot find hotels with definite parking. A few say 'self parking' but then reviews say parking was almost non existent. Also self parking seems to be public parking because you have to pay €15 in most cases and the amount is always the same. Any input anyone??? Bramleyboy.

I quickly checked several hotels in Munich in the 'up to £100' range and most had free parking on site.
I think it depends where in a city about you look: city centre hotels usually have less and more expensive parking.
'where about in the city' !

I don't know Munich so I would stay anywhere. When you look on Tripadviser a lot of people say the self parking was almost non existent or very poor. I can't risk that. I would stay further out and U bahn in.
Look at booking.com. I have always found the hotels they list with free parking to be so when we get there. If there is a charge they usually give the price.
