Again this year I will be cooking a turkey crown which doesn't have the neck and giblets that I used when I had a whole turkey.Last year I made Jamie Oliver recipe using chicken wings and roasted veg but it did lack something. Have any of you clever Abers got a really good recipe please?

My first though was a decent quality chicken stock with some wine in it, and I'm pleased to see that's basically what the BBC Good Food website goes for as well: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/893639/gravy-for-the-christmas-turkey

I find chicken gravy granules as good as anything.

Buy some ready made gravy from the supermarket. It's very good.
My mother would always stuff the turkey with pork sausage meat. I found the sausage meat much more appetising than the turkey.
