The post below inspired this...

Is there a concert/gig that for whatever reason you didn't buy tickets for and now kick yourself over?

A coupla years ago Simon & Garfunkle toured, and even came to Manchester, and for some reason, one I can't remember now, I didn't buy tickets for it. Am I still gutted I didn't? you bet your boots I am!

I've seen Paul Simon....he was brilliant.

Stone Roses. The tickets sold out so quick OH mate managed to get some but one of OH's friends had to pull out so he got the ticket. I cried :-D
Thanks Boo for rubbing it in ;-))

I might add I did see Frank Sinatra many moons ago

oh ouch Ric, that's a double whammy isnt it?

Not only do you miss the concert, but it costs as well!
Well my OH got arrested after the concert....har, serves him right :-)

lol ummmm! What for?
Turned down the chance to see Queen at Wembley.
My mates tried doing it on the cheap and bought child fare tickets for the train.
They were prosecuted and it cost them an extra £200 each, which was a lot of money to a 17 year old in the 80's!
To add insult to injury the taxi man refused to take him at first until he spoke to me - it was 4.30am grrrrrrrrrrrrr
He went to see them in Dublin. Lost his mates (as he does) couldn't get into his to his room so went to sleep on the floor outside it. Got work up by the police and he hit out in his sleep.

They kept him over night. He phoned me the next morning and I said 'you've been arrested haven't ye'.......Yeah. He wasn't charged with anything. :-)

He got arrested at the airport for....guess what?? Elevating!! What The Funicular

oooo ouch Chilly!

I couldn't stand Queen when they were big. Now as an old fart though I love their music.

Loads!

I never saw T.Rex in their pomp.

I was going to see Zepelin's second night at Knebworth, having been to the first, and didn't, not knowing it would be their last show.

I never saw Free the many times they played locally.

I didn't see INXS when they played locally .... the list could go on all day!!!

Hubby saw INXS, and at the time he thought Hot house Flowers who were supporting them were miles better Andy, lol.
Really like Hothouse Flowers, great band.
yes, the Beatles. They only played in my town once and I missed it. I thought it would be full of screaming teenagers (of which I was one) and I wouldn't hear anything. This was apparently correct... but I'm still kicking myself half a century later.

My mum saw them Jno, before they hit the big time in a little club in our town, apparently she held John Lennon's hand, lol.

When Barbara Streisand was last in the country, I refused to get tickets because they were so expensive.

Regretted it immediately.

And I never bothered to get tickets to see Dolly Parton either.

Regretted it immediately.

Only Cher left now...
I dawdled about getting tickets to see Jimi hendrix. By the time i got round to it they'd sold out.....sob:-(

lol SP, you're such a queen! LOL

Oooo carrust, that's gotta sting now.
Barry Manilow...my dad took my ex stepmother and sister but didn't think to invite me ;-(

I'd love to have been there singing along to:- One voice....
Paloma Faith at the Camden Roundhouse in May this year.

She generally does bigger venues (I'm not a big venue fan), but she announced a gig at the Roundhouse.

I should've just bought four tickets, and then asked who wanted to come. Instead, I tried to get a group of pals together, but I was backwards M&D forwards between home and my BF's and, by the time I got round to sorting out who was coming, the tickets had sold out.

Lesson ... if you see tickets you fancy ... buy them! If you can't go to the gig, you can always sell them, or give them to your friends.
