I thought you had to be available for work at all times whilst on benefits? I know I was - the 5 months I was unemployed. She is abusing the benefits system. I wish I could afford to go abroad on my pension!

pusskin; millions? that's rather a wild claim! Admittedly there are different levels of depression but 'fed up' isn't one of them. Depression is a crippling illness that causes the sufferer to undergo a total personality change; to become uninterested in life in general, to withdraw from the outside world preferring one's own company. Personal hygiene is often affected, meals are missed, housework remains undone. How could anyone with true depression even contemplate holding down a job?
