Birmingham UK street signs in bar in Georgia USA

Recently I had to stay overnight in Atlanta. In Joe's on Sullivan sport's bar, near the airport there are a number of replica Birmingham street signs, Aston Lane, Aston Brook St. etc. The owner did not know why. They were there when he bought the place 7 years ago. Can anyone throw any light?

No Piggynose, They are not actual street signs but much lighter replica signs. Which I, and an eminent Brummie historian, never recollect ever being on sale!
