Now long do I need to allow for a visit to the above please. ....... not into dwelling and trading every single information board .... just a casual look ..

Well as I am asking for info on now long a visit takes I would assume one would only be able to answer if one had actually been there and hence would know where it is ? But for the record .... it is in London
it's address was "Number One, London". I'd say an hour or so, but you could do it in less if you wanted to skip some of the information. I haven't been there for a few years but I don't suppose it's changed much.
The English Heritage website states that guided tours (for groups) last one and a quarter hours.

Based upon that (and having taken a look at what's actually there), I'd estimate allowing around an hour for a casual browse around.

Thanks Chris and jno .... really helpful. Only in London for a day and so want to pack in as much as possible and Apsley House and the Wellington Arch are on the list ............. as well as the new Bomber Command Memorial which I believe is near by.
