Next week I will be travelling from Woking to Waterloo on South West Trains and then tube to Temple (only 2 stops), and return the same day.
I don't have an Oyster Card and would not really make use of one. What's the best/cheapest ticket for this journey? I've looked at National Rail Enquiries and TFL websites but can't work out the best option - separate rail and tube tickets, rail and travelcard combined, rail and Oyster Card?
Will be getting train from Woking at about 10:30am.
Temple is almost opposite Waterloo station on the opposite bank of the Thames - walk over waterloo bridge, then drop down on to Victoria Embankment via the steps at the end of the bridge, then head downstream (left as you face back across the Thames). Walking time under 15mn.
Thanks for the advice. Don't know anyone with an Oyster Card so will get a Travelcard but if it turns out to be a sunny summer's day (you never know) then we'll walk.
I will suggest you to stay somewhere in Apartment or Hotels in London and hire a rental car for traveling all over London. You can easily find a rental car in London by paying few bucks.
wish you all the best!!! Media URL: http://www.apartotels.com Description:
