Baggage monarch Manchester to Florida flight

Hi, I am traveling with monarch to Florida and at time of booking flights did not book baggage as system would only allow me to book baggage for entire party and we only require half that amount! We have since contacted monarch to be told that they can also only book baggage on for our entire party and that our only other option is to wait til we get to the airport and book our bags on then. Needless to say the latter option leaves me nervous and so I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this or had any other advice? Many thanks Karen

I haven't but it is often more expensive to book in luggage at check-in - worth looking intot hat.

A lot of airlines will only let you book things for the whole party as looks like the case with Monarch. I would check like boxtops says and check how much it would be to book for all of you now as sometimes it will be cheaper than checking a few bags in at check in.

This tends to be the case with group bookings. Unless every passenger has their own individual booking reference, it`s generally not possible to do such niceties as checking in online etc. Providing you are not charged extra for checking in/booking baggage at the airport it won`t be a problem. Just make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time to do it then.
