Not terribly warm at that time of the year. May rain quite a bit too.

When you say dead I suppose it is quieter than the middle of summer, but Malaga is not only a tourist destination but a working city. What is the nearest city like, that you go to in Dec, the same or almost the same as July I should think. Malaga certainly wont be dead, Every thing will be open. Weather is unpredictable, it could be sunny in high teens or raining.
