Getting there

driving to madagascar

has anyone ever driven from the uk down through africa to either kenya or somewhere where a ferry crosses over. i am considering it as an alternative to flying. alternatively how difficult is it driving down through africa. i heard egypt - sudan border is quite difficult?

You must be barking ! Have you any idea how long it will take and how much it will cost? Not to mention the potential danger of travelling through various politically unstable countries (No I don't mean France)

a pretty weird alternative to flying - I'd guess 10 weeks instead of 10 hours, going through the odd war zone and the occasional desert. Adventure travel companies do it
