USA Coach tour

Is there a firm out there that offers a one week tour taking in Washington DC. Monticello, Williamsburg etc in Virginia as well as Savannah and Charleston in Georgia? Tours I've found go to more places but are much longer than a week - which would be great but we just can't be away for more than a week - 8 days including flights from UK.

Grateful for any pointers.

Hi, you probably can't find any offering the trips you want to do as there is such a distance between them. You would spend all of the time travelling. If you can't be away for a longer time maybe you should think of doing either the northern ones or the ones down south. Whatever you decide enjoy.

Thanks, shedman; you're probably right. Perhaps I should take a taxi like Stephen Fry! I wonder if I could get a camera crew to go with me?

you could probably do it yourself just as cheaply but as theshedman says, the distances are considerable. I've done all that - but on two separate trips, one out of DC, the other from Atlanta. It's probably doable as a 2-week trip but really if you try to squeeze it any shorter you're going to be badly rushed and tired.

PS skip the camera crew - they're always trying to drag you out of bed at dawn because 'the light's better now'!
