Banbury

Thinking of going to Banbury for the day with Mum for shopping/meal out over the weekend. Is it worth a visit?

Well personally I always think that anywhere is worth visiting, even if only once!
Banbury has the canal running right through the centre of town, if you go out of the doors of the shopping centre you are right on the canal bank.

it has a quirkiness to the place. there are a few nice resturants on the road leading up to the banbury cross. don't be surprised when you see the likes of woolworths, hmv etc.....

Passed through today on way home and stopped for an hour. Well worth it. Lots of great buildings, canal centre etc.
Plenty of small shops too.
Worth another visit I think.
