Why am I being quoted euro in stead of Turkish Lira by all hotels and transfer companies in Turkey?

Just because they have written their information for foreign tourists, and an amount in euros or dollars is probably going to be much more meaningful than an amount in lira for most tourists.

They accept anything over there. Sterling, US Dollars, Euros.
