holiday in portugal

Hi, I would like to visit Portugal in June for first time. Did someone know, where to look for good deals and great location? looking for self catering or B&B, near by the sea. I would like to snorkelling, so somewhere, where is rocky beaches, maybe sandy as well. Walking distance to town, but not a classic resort with crowdy beaches and large hotel complexs. Would like to hire car and travel to visit interesting places, so please any idea? Thank you for any advice!
