Offer them everything they want until everyone included them get off the plane, get the passengers to safety then shoot the scum.
Very worrying for all, hope it's resolved quickly.
Question Author
Maltese PM has said 25 people have left the plane, women and children, no men.
It's a start.
The plane was hijacked in Libya and diverted to Malta from Tripoli
Second group of passengers being released now
Releasing all apssengeres but want to keep the 7 crew
How the hell do they get hand grenades on a plane in the first place?
Question Author
I wonder if they do have them or just said they had them?
Considering I rarely get through security without setting alarms off. Last time I was made to stand in some sort of machine and the time before that I had my hands and feet swabbed. I really can't see how anyone could get grenades on.

It seems pretty pointless us being so strict if other countries don't do the same.
Col Khayali said the plane had left Sabha's Tmenhant military airport at 11:05 local time for Tripoli.

"It was hijacked and investigations are continuing to establish how any explosives or weapons made it on board," he said.

He added that security at Tmenhant was poor, with a distance of 5km (3.1 miles) travel between the airport building and planes

Seems a shambles.

Sigh!
How utterly tedious.
TTT you're a card .....
Well that was a short lived hijack. Next thing you know, they`ll be claiming asylum (wouldn`t be the first time)
