Tenerife???

We are going Tenerife (near Las Gelletas) in mid May. Has anyone got any ideas of nice places to see/visit/do/eat? Also any ideas about the weather?

This is on the south coast and rather too near the airport for my liking. It adjoins the rather long and sprawling resort Costa del Silencio, which has much more in the way of places to eat and drink.
The main attractions (both natural - for example Mount Teide, or man-made - for example the water-parks or Parrot Park) are both well-documented in loads of other places as well as being many kilometres away from where you are going, so you will either need to hire a car or join a tour - for which there is much competition and many pick-up points.
