Funai Error Code

I have a FUNAI combi VCR/HDD/DVD recorder
When I try to burn from my Sky+ box to dvd I get an error "03.51"
The dvd appears to burn for around 20-30 secinds and then errors
I wondered if it was because I had tried to burn HD content (Hawaii 50 from Sky), or whether there is an actual fault
I know the HD file size would be big on this programme, but wouldn't the burner just burn it as standard def anyway?

I would say this could be a firmware problem with the chinese recorder software.
Check for firmware updates (if you can) at manufacturers website.
Recording HD from Sky will be problematical. Much is protected fom copying, although you might copy SD ok.

I have never had a problem 'transfering' a prog from Sky+H/D to DVD rec, I know I do not have the same DVD Rec as you ( Panasonic) so it would suggest to me that as albags says your DVD Rec requires updating.Ron.
