Mini Ipods, worth what is says on the pricetag?

Better than an iPod. not tied in to iTunes, cheaper because you are not paying for the name and even includes an FM radio.

Iriver have some very nice players,and on many of them you can also view your photos.

Never heard of novatech - probably would never buy one.

Best 5gb mp3 player (ipod mini range) - Rio Carbon (�150ish)
Best 20gb mp3 player (ipod range) - Sony NW-HDD3 (�220ish)

So.. No the iPod Mini isn't worth �180, or even �130

You must lead a very sheltered life Scatman.Novatech are one of,if not the,biggest online retailers of computer products in the UK.

My two daughters each have a Novatech NPod and they very pleased with them.

They look similar to an iPod, 20gb capacity and built-in FM radio.

VFM, they are the best on the market.

Don`t dismiss things out of hand just because you are ignorant of their existance.

Adding to the Npod flagwaving, I use the shuffle facility all of the time.  Apple charge you an extra �50 for the shuffle and brag about it and it's not as good as the Npod version because you have to use it with play lists.  It's not just that they are much cheaper, Npods are easier to use and if you want truly portable music why would you want to limit youself to Itunes.  IPods are a fashion accessory but Npods are brilliant and starting to sell very fast.
