wmv file changes to dat when opened as attachment in an email in Windows Live Mail

A friend sends me emails with attachments that are wmv files but when I try to open them they change to dat files . I have Windows Live Mail and so does she.

Probably sending you too large attachments .. Max is usually around 10Mb. Tell her to check this .. and ZIP them too.
