I have been reading lots of reviews on these. I am just about to purchase one with dvd 2 tall speakers and 3 other. What I would like to know is about the HDMI socket . Does this mean that if it does not have one that you wont get the hd through it. I know you need a lead if fitted with the HDMI SOCKET. Hope this makes sense for you to understand what I want to know. I already have skyhd. Thanks

Yes HDMI is the HD output, there is another HD capable output called component but unless you are connecting to a tV using one of these two methods you will not get HD.

I note you say DVD as well, you do realise that DVD's are not HD, you need a blue ray drive to be able to play HD movies.
