Antivirus protection

can anyone recommend a free antivirus download. at work they said agv. is this any good or is there a better one? thanks for your help.

AGV is very good. make sure you sign up for updates also.

AVG IS very good. I run it along with Spybot S & D and Ad-aware, but to get updates from AVG pro, you have to pay for it.

I got rid of AVG and now use Avira,it is much better.

I used AVG but it was getting too big and slow. A virus scan on my pc took 2hrs. Currently use Avira on 1 machine (although the free version doesn't check emails) and Comodo Internet Suite (free) on the other (XP or greater) http://antivirus.comodo.com/
