connecting a computer to tv

i have a dvi-d slot on my computer and a vga and hdmi slot on the tv .which one would be the best to connect to.

DVI-D to HDMI. Use a DVI to HDMI adaptor with a HDMI lead or a HDMI to DVI lead, either will do fine. Do be aware that dvi doesn't normally carry sound though, so you will have to make separate provision to get the sound from the computer to the TV. Check the computers settings for the dvi output as some WILL allow you to send the sound via the dvi connection but this is the exception - not the norm!
